Works of art by municipal employees on display at Balgandharva Rangmandir | Pune News

PUNE: An exhibition featuring the artworks of employees of the Pune Municipal Corporation is being held at Balgandharva Rangmandir Kaladalan on JM Road from February 15-16.
PMC Additional Commissioner Dnyaneshwar Molak said, “The Pune Municipal Cultural Arts Forum organizes an exhibition every year where all staff members can show their creative side and be appreciated for their work, apart from their daily work. This year, many have given free rein to their experience of the pandemic, paying tribute to Covid warriors, such as frontline workers and healthcare professionals, and to famous people who died during this time.
Nisha Chauhan, Chief Legal Counsel at PMC, a participant in the exhibition, said: “None of us are professional artists, but we are all passionate about art and we approach it in our spare time. as a sort of stress reliever. This exhibition, organized every year for 30 years, is an opportunity for us to show and appreciate everyone’s work.
Some employees exhibited about 50 pieces of wood crafts. Another employee combined her love for cooking and photography by preparing various dishes and clicking pictures of them. Four 4D and 3D murals made by staff members are on display at the exhibition, opened by Mayor Murlidhar Mohol.
