Weston Hospicecare uses artwork for charity sale
A hospice that helps people with life-limiting illnesses across North Somerset is calling on artists to donate their work to its annual art sale.
Weston Hospicecare hosted a mystery art sale last year which raised over £ 1,200 for the charity.
The hospice hosts an art sale in October and calls on local artists, photographers and creative enthusiasts to donate pieces of their work to raise funds for the cause.
The money raised, through online and in-person sales through October, will be used to help the charity support thousands of people in Weston, North Somerset and Sedgemoor with a deadly disease.
Kirsty Simmons, Community Fundraiser for Weston Hospicecare, says, “In 2020 we’ve had such a wonderful response from our supporters.
“First of all, the generosity of the artists who donated their works which was then followed by a great reaction from our supporters buying their works.
“Now that art classes, clubs and groups have reopened, we hope that we can count on our brilliant supporters for a similar reaction this year.”
The donor can post or deposit their work at Weston Hospicecare, Uphill, before September 10. To find out more, log on to https://www.westonhospicecare.org.uk/event/artsale/
