Timeless beauty, phenomenal actress, evergreen… these are just a few of the words to describe the legendary Rekha. On her birthday today, celebrities are sharing their favorite movies as well as incidents that happened when they met her.

Mitaali Nag: Rekha ji is a true example of timeless beauty. I happened to have a date with her because she had promoted my last show. She’s a real diva, so humble and down to earth. My favorite movie of all time is Ijaazat. She acted in such a subtle yet powerful way. I also like Khoon Bhari Maang. She did a phenomenal job while showing the transformation.

Prateik Chaudhary: Judaai is my all-time favorite movie of the legend Rekha ji. I really loved the story and her performance and also Rekha ji’s chemistry with Jitendra ji. This film is still relevant.

Nikhil Nanda: Rekha has actually outlived her age. She can compete with many younger actresses today. My favorite movie is Khubsurat movie, I really liked the role she played.

Sudhanshu Pandey: My favorite Rekha ji movie is Khoon Bhari Maang where she from a simple Jane becomes an absolute diva and in real life also she becomes more and more beautiful and she is eternally beautiful and she will only get younger.

Charrul Malik: Rekha aap sa nahin koi dekha. I grew up watching Rekhaji films, my mother was a Rekhaji fan. My favorite movie is Umrao Jaan and when she walks into a room everything fades. Her gajra style statement and Kanjivaram sarees are unbeatable. She has a beautiful voice and she sings so well. I really admire his style, his personality, his aura, his game and his finesse.

Anjali Phougat: Silsila – because of the simplicity of the script, the beautiful music and especially his chemistry with Amitabh Bachchan. I like old movies and originality. She is so beautiful and remains my favorite actress and I wish her a very happy birthday.

Hiten Paintal: I wish Rekha madam a very happy birthday, she is a diva, one of the most enigmatic and beautiful women our industry has ever seen and will ever see. Rekha Ma’am’s most favorite movie is Umrao Jaan. I think no one can forget Umrao Jaan, she was absolutely stunning and the performance and her expressions were breathtaking. Although Khoon Bhari Maang was top notch for me, which was such an amazing movie, it was such a different concept of a movie that she had the guts and the glory to star in and it was amazing. I think she’s a diva and there’s no bigger word than that. I wish her a very happy birthday and Rekha ma’am you rock.
